Tourist Information

We are immensely delighted and deeply appreciate the fact that the host of the international conference EECERA in 2007 is Prague – a city that has been a historic, cultural, religious and trade crossroads ever since it came into existence.

Praga caput regni“ is written on Prague’s coat of arms. And rightly so. Since it came to be, Prague has played an important role in the history of the nation, the country and Europe. Since the medieval times it has had the reputation of one of the most beautiful cities in the world and it was called “golden”, “hundred-steepled”, “crown of the world”, or “stone dream”. For centuries, important personalities paid tribute to Prague. Spellbound by its beauty admitted to be e.g. W. A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, G. Apollinaire, P. I. Tchajkovskij, F. M. Dostoievskij, A. Rodin, O. Kokoschka as well as the British Queen Elisabeth II, the Pope John Paul II etc.

We are glad that the participants in the EECERA 2007 conference will also have the opportunity to visit Prague. Enjoy your stay!
